Joint Sensor Networking
Raytheon is the developer of the US Navy’s Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC)/Joint Composite Tracking Network (JCTN). This is a real-time sensor netting system that integrates diverse radar and other sensor measurements into a highly accurate composite Single Integrated Air Picture (SIAP), providing engagement-quality target tracking data to all members of a networked battlegroup, including land mobile vehicles. For this anti-jam communications network, we are now reducing the size of antennas and terminals and optimally distributing data throughout an expanded network to satisfy future requirements for joint theater operations.

Space Systems
Raytheon develops both military and commercial space payloads. We make UHF transponders for the US Air Force’s Milstar satellite communication systems. Our SeaWinds Scatterometer Electronic Subsystem is the heart of Japan’s Advanced Earth Observing Satellite, providing continuous, highly accurate measurement of global ocean wind vectors. We are now developing miniaturized Ka-band commercial communications payloads and laying the foundation for the next generation space-based Advanced UHF System, providing world-wide coverage for military communications.

Radios/Terminals
Raytheon is a leading supplier of UHF radios, intel terminals, and RF products for military communications systems. We make the USAF’s Airborne Integrated Terminals which are software-defined SATCOM transceivers for highly maneuverable aircraft. Our Joint Tactical Terminal is the first open architecture, programmable digital radio to deliver correlated and integrated tactical intelligence broadcasts. We also make Frequency Agile Filters to resolve extreme cosite interference, solid-state high power amplifiers for AWACS aircraft, and anti-jam GPS Antennas for subsonic and supersonic aircraft requiring low-profile, low-drag aperture assemblies.
