SUPPLY CHAIN LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Developing future leaders
The Supply Chain Leadership Development Program is designed to create a pipeline of talented professionals to fill pivotal roles that keep Raytheon and its Supply Chain team a leader in the aerospace and defense industry. A two-year program, consisting of three eight-month rotations, the SCLPD provides broad exposure to Raytheon while giving the participants the opportunity to tackle tough issues and add immediate value to the company. We are looking for individuals who can inspire others to embrace change and lead continuous improvement.

Why Raytheon's Supply Chain Leadership Development Program?
Raytheon is a world leader in the aerospace and defense marketplace. We currently participate in nine of the top ten Department of Defense programs. Within a very competitive market environment, we see Supply Chain as a team that contributes significantly to the creation of distinct competitive advantages for Raytheon. Spending in excess of $7 billion annually, we need leaders who can manage complex relationships in support of cutting-edge technology products and programs.

Challenging on-the-job assignments
The SCLDP assignments are selected to provide for both learning and growth. We strive to bring balance to the needs of the business units and the LDP participants. Assignments exist in Subcontract Management, Material Program Management, Strategic Agreement teams, Commodity Management, Planning, Logistics, and others.

A complete education to broaden your horizons
In addition to on-the-job training, we believe that it is critical to stay current with emerging best practices. During the first rotation, participants are scheduled to participate in Raytheon Six Sigma training, where they are exposed to skills and tools that simplify processes and drive continuous improvement. Participants are required to complete a Raytheon Six Sigma project during each of the three rotations. Additional coursework keeps the participants abreast of the latest in e-business strategies and leading-edge supply chain trends.

Active feedback and career development
We use a 360° appraisal process prior to the conclusion of each rotation to collect feedback on performance from direct reports, peers, and managers. We then follow through with a personalized counseling session with the participant, the Assignment Manager, and the Project Manager to review the feedback and discuss opportunities to improve. To support career development, SCLDP participants are assigned a mentor -- someone who can introduce them to the company, provide answers, offer advice, and coach them through the program and beyond.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for capable, self-confident individuals interested in a new challenge. You should have an MBA with a specialty in Supply Chain Management or a Masters Degree in a related field, three to five years related work experience, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and the desire to be an agent of change.
