Developing future leaders
Information Technology at Raytheon means more than support for our business; it is considered a strategic Business Partner for our Company. The purpose of the ITLDP is to foster world-class leaders capable of leading Raytheon's IT/MIS functions across all information frontiers. As a program participant, you will work in many areas of our diverse business, gaining maximum exposure to cutting-edge principles, products and trends and developing the skills and competencies you will need to succeed and help shape the Company's future.

Challenging, on-the-job assignments
Over the two-year course of the program, you will participate in at least three diverse assignments with an additional cross-functional assignment, if appropriate. Through different businesses, projects, and initiatives, the program will expose you to a variety of strategic competencies including:

  • Project Management
  • Business Partnering
  • Application Planning, Development and Deployment
  • Raytheon Six Sigma
  • Network Engineering
  • E-Business

The combination of rotations will be tailored to meet both your, and the Company's, goals.

A complete education to broaden your horizons
Throughout the course of your program, you will have the opportunity to work with Raytheon leadership and gain a full understanding of leadership competencies in action while establishing role models and mentor relationships. You will have access to seminars, and on and off-site training appropriate to your rotation. You will also work on leadership competencies that will develop your management skills including:

  • Strategic Planning
  • Performance & Result-Based Management
  • Technology Assessment & Management
  • Organizational Effectiveness
  • Customer & Quality Analysis

Active feedback and career development
In each stage of your development, you will be mentored by a senior leader who will facilitate your progress through the program. Your mentor will make adjustments to your rotation to ensure a challenging and rewarding experience and prepare you to take a lead position upon completion.

The next step
Upon completion of the program, you will be placed in a position within one of our businesses that will continue to challenge and improve your skills. Who we're looking for

  • BS or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics (other hard sciences are also welcome)
  • A competitive GPA preferred (candidates with less than a 3.5 will be considered based on other advantageous credentials)
  • Individuals with proven technical and leadership skills
