COMMUNICATIONS

Developing future leaders
The Communications LDP is a two-year program that provides an accelerated professional development career path. Along with on-the-job training, the program provides a unique opportunity for individual mentoring, and learning tailored to your needs.

Why Raytheon's Communications Development Program
The newest of Raytheon's Leadership Development Program, the Communications track provides communicators with the opportunity to learn about the full range of communications disciplines including internal communications, executive communications, media relations, advertising and community relations. The learning is supported by a team of communication professionals with wide-ranging and deep communications experience.

Challenging on-the-job assignments
The opportunity to participate in challenging assignments is an earmark of the program. With the broad discipline of communication programs, there is significant opportunity to be well versed in a myriad of communication topics. Specific tasks on which our LDPs will be able to execute include: understanding and executing message architecture, making informed decisions about grant requests, preparing and issuing press releases managing brand reputation and understanding how to work with different executive styles.

A complete education to broaden your horizons
Throughout the program you'll participate in seminars and conferences to help you develop your communications skills in line with our communications competency model. Part of your learning will also include the opportunity for one-on-one learning with senior members of our communications team. You will also be able to participate in cross-functional training with our other LDP employees.

Active feedback and career development
A dedicated program manager will work closely with you throughout the program to ensure you have what you need to be successful. Additionally, an assignment manager will help guide you during each of your rotations.

The next step
When you complete the program, you will be placed in an assignment that best fits your demonstrated abilities, aptitudes and interests. We will also continue to provide learning opportunities for you.
